Ronald Reagan said it well: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.
Edmund Burke said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing.”
The need today is great for young people to know their history, and how it relates to current issues, in order to understand what is best for our country now.
There is a saying, “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.” Informed young people are able to be more effective in their approach to civic engagement.
Members of Youth Revolution will be challenged to learn more about US history and government, so they’ll be able to make informed decisions about current events, and in turn, be able to help change our state, and our country for the better!
The Bible says: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” God has not changed. His standards have not been lowered. God still calls immorality a sin, and the Bible says God is going to judge it.
The stations of uncensored expression are closing down; the lights are going out; but there is still time for those to whom freedom and parliamentary government mean something, to consult together. Let me, then, speak in truth and earnestness while time remains.
